Enrichment FCU Breaks Ground on Emory Road Branch

DBSI brings 12-year strategic partnership full circle with new branch build.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Enrichment Federal Credit Union (EFCU) broke ground on its future branch at 1421 E. Emory Road in Knoxville, marking a major milestone in its growth. The celebration brought together community members, business leaders, nonprofit partners, board members, executives, staff, and DBSI, EFCU’s long-time strategic partner entrusted with bringing this new vision to life.

What began twelve years ago as a cash automation strategy between EFCU and DBSI has since evolved into a full-scale expansion plan. Together, we’ve worked to modernize member experiences, optimize branch operations, and align technology with EFCU’s long-term vision. The Emory Road branch represents the next step in that journey, and we’re honored to help bring this milestone to life.

Leading the ceremony, Enrichment Federal Credit Union's CEO Mike Hayes emphasized the credit union's mission of helping members build stronger financial futures. 

“Enrichment has been helping members save money for more than 75 years. Our new branch is conveniently located on Emory Road and will provide convenient access to Enrichment’s financial services to the surrounding communities.”

 

 

 

EFCU's Commitment to Community

Keeping the community in focus, the groundbreaking began with a series of donations to local nonprofits. Representatives from the DeBusk Boys and Girls Club, United Veterans Council, Halls Elementary School, and Brickey-McCloud Elementary School each received $1,000 and program-specific supplies through EFCU’s Community Enrichment Program.

These contributions came through EFCU’s Community Enrichment Program, underscoring the credit union’s “People Helping People” philosophy.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With plans to open in mid-2026, the Emory Road branch will mark the latest in EFCU’s expansion—bringing more members into a space purpose-built to connect, inspire, and serve. This groundbreaking isn’t just the start of a building—it’s the continuation of a long-standing partnership and a shared commitment to financial empowerment.
